Inspect for

or Glazing.

Hone if
Use cylinder bore
glazed.
honing unit.

Replace if
scored or if
engine seized.

Cylinder liner
Check piston

clearance in
cylinder liner
as follows:
a.
Measure liner
Use
micrometer
diameter in
caliper, inside.
line with 0°
and 90° to
crankshaft as
follows (see
figure):
o Immediately
below top com-
pression ring
reversal point.
o At 3.7 in.
(93.9 mm) below
top face of
block.
