FUEL TANKS (LEFT AND RIGHT) LEVEL GAGE TRANSMITTER REPLACEMENT (Sheet 2 of 4)
NOTE
Steps 1 and 2 only apply to the left fuel
gage transmitter.
1.
Using 1/2 inch socket, remove three bolts
(A) and lockwashers (B) securing safety
chain (C), and cover (D) to fuel tank.
2.
Remove cover (D).
3.
Disconnect electrical lead (E) from trans-
mitter (F).
4.
Using pliers, cut and remove lockwire (G).
5.
Using screwdriver, remove five screws
and washers (H) securing transmitter (F)
to fuel tank.
C a r e f u l l y lift transmitter (F) out of fuel
6.
tank until float arm gears (J) are visible
in fuel tank opening (K).
7.
Reach in with finger and pull up on
visible tip of float arm. Pull trans-
mitter (F) out of tank opening (K)
until float appears.
