Right side is shown.REMOVAL1.Unlock two adjustable latches (2) on stowage compartment door (5).2.Remove two rivets (9) and catch (8) from side of stowage compartment (10). Discard rivets (9).3.Remove two rivets (1) and adjustable latch (2) from stowage compartment door (5). Discard rivets (1).4.Repeat steps 2 and 3 and remove other catch (8) and adjustable latch (2).5.Remove five rivets (11) from hinge (12) and outer ponton deck (7). Discard rivets (11).6.Remove stowage compartment door (5) from outer ponton deck (7).7.If damaged, remove door seal (6) from inner edge of stowage compartment (10).INSTALLATION1.If removed, install door seal (6) around inner edge of stowage compartment (10).2.Position stowage compartment door (5) on outer ponton deck (7).3.Align holes on hinge (12) with holes on outer ponton deck (7), and install five new rivets (11).4.Install adjustable latch (2) on stowage compartment door (5) with two new rivets (1).5.Install catch (8) on side of stowage compartment (10) with two new rivets (9).6.Repeat steps 4 and 5 and install other adjustable latch (2) and catch (8).7.Close stowage compartment door (5), and if necessary, loosen nut (3) and turn hook (4) onadjustable latch (2) clockwise to increase closed pressure on door seal (6) or counterclockwise todecrease closing pressure. Tighten nut (3) and lock two adjustable latches (2).8.Install ramp bay on transporter (TM 5-5420-278-10).
