Tag and disconnect wiring (2) from starter (3).
3.
Remove two hex head mounting bolts (4) from starter (3).
4.
Remove starter (3) from engine block (5).
INSTALL LIGHT TOWER ENGINE STARTER
1.
Position new starter (3) against engine block (5).
2.
Install two hex head mounting bolts (4) in starter (3) and tighten.
3.
Connect starter wiring (2) to starter (3) and remove tags.
4.
Install hex nut (1) over starter wiring (2) and tighten.
5.
Install light tower battery negative lead terminal. (WP 0134 00)
6.
Perform operational check of light tower. (TM 55-1945-205-10-2)
