Deep, Small Area Dent
1.
Occasionally, a deep small-area dent will not
respond to above methods of repair. Drill a
small hole in the center of the dent. This
provides room for metal displacement during
hammering.

Repair with one of above methods as required.

Close hole by welding.

Cracks
a.
Reshape metal using one of methods in 1. above.
b.
Drill a hole at each end of the crack.
c.
Hold aluminum back-up plate against opposite
face.
