NOTE
The maintenance procedures are the same for the left and right side mirror and bracket
assemblies.
a. Repair. (figure 4-11)
WARNING
Dry cleaning solvent PD-680 used to clean parts is potentially dangerous to personnel and property.
Avoid repeated and prolonged skin contact. Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. Flash point
of solvent is 100-138°F (38-80 °C).
(1) Clean all parts with dry cleaning solvent, and dry thomughly.
(2) Inspect bracket assembly (1), brace bracket (2), and mirror brace (3), for distortions, broken welds, or other
damage.
(3) Repair by straightening or welding as needed.
