HEU HOSE ASSEMBLY "BU" REPLACEMENT (Sheet 1 of 1)
TOOLS:
13/16-in. open end wrench
12-in. Adjustable wrench
SUPPLIES:
Drip pans (suitable containers)
Rags (Item 12, Appendix D)
Protective caps and plugs (assorted sizes)
REFERENCE: LO-12
PRELIMINARY PROCEDURES:
Zero hydraulic pressure (page 3-70.5)
REMOVAL:
NOTE
Use rags and drips pans to catch hydraulic fluid. Cap and plug all lines and fittings
as they are being disconnected.
1.
Use adjustable wrench to hold tee fitting (A) and use wrench to disconnect hose assembly "BU" (B) at fitting (A).
2.
Use adjustable wrench to hold ball valve fitting (C) and use wrench to disconnect hose assembly "BU" (B) from ball
valve fitting (C).
INSTALLATION:
1.
Use adjustable wrench to hold ball valve fitting (C) and use wrench to install hose assembly "BU" (B) to ball valve
fitting (C).
2.
Use wrench to install hose assembly "BU" (B) at tee fitting (A).
3.
Bleed hydraulic system (page 3-72).
4.
Check for hydraulic leaks and correct as necessary.
5.
Service main hydraulic reservoir (LO-12).
