On arrival at the bridge site the area designated for construction/recovery should be
marked out as shown in Figure 1. 12 for a normal site. Use Figure 1. 13 if the site is
restricted for space.

At night, conditional to the local military situation, a system of marker lights, chemical light
sticks and reflective tape may be used to mark out the site for construction/recovery.
