MALFUNCTION

7. ENGINE SHUTS DOWN DURING OPERATION
Step 1. Check for clogged fuel tank filter.
If clogged, clean or replace fuel tank filter. Refer to WP 0102 00.
Step 2. Check fuel pump for malfunction.
If malfunctioning, repair fuel pump. Refer to WP 0101 00.
END OF TESTING
8. ENGINE SPEED AND PERFORMANCE DROP OFF
Step 1. Check for slipping engine speed control lever.
Tighten mounting hardware and adjust speed control levers. Refer to WP 0114 00.
Step 2. Check fuel lines for leaks.
If leaking, tighten fuel line fittings or replace damaged fuel lines. Refer to WP 0103 00.
Step 3. Check for clogged fuel tank filter.
If clogged, clean or replace fuel tank filter. Refer to WP 0102 00.
END OF TESTING
9. ENGINE RUNS VERY HOT
Check for plugged or obstructed cooling fins.
If plugged or obstructed, clean obstructions from fin openings.
