START MOTOR

Do not operate the motor with the cover off unless performing emergency starting.
Keep hands, hair and clothing clear of moving parts. Contact with moving parts may
cause injury or death.

Follow break-in procedures if motor is new.
1.
Open vent on fuel tank cap.

Priming is not required when the engine is warm.
Do not advance the throttle for starting unless needed to clear a flooded engine.
2.
Connect fuel hose to fuel tank and engine.
3.
Squeeze the fuel line primer bulb until it becomes firm.
4.
Connect the lanyard to a secure place on the operator.
5.
Place the shifting and speed control (2) in the neutral position.
