Inspect the equipment for damage incurred during shipment. If the equipment has been damaged, report the damage
on SF 361, Transportation Discrepancy Report.
Check the equipment against the packing slip to see if the shipment is complete. Report all discrepancies in
accordance with applicable service instructions (e.g., for Army instructions, see DA PAM 738-750).
Check to see whether the equipment has been modified.
PROCESS UNPACKED EQUIPMENT
Refer to TM 55-1945-205-10-4, Operators Manual for Modular Causeway System (MCS) Floating Causeway, for
instructions to process unpacked equipment. The referenced manual will provide information regarding special skills
required by processing personnel, caustic and/or toxic material with applicable warnings that may be used during
processing, instructions for safe disposal of waste products, and the estimated man-hour requirements to process the
equipment.
INSTALL EQUIPMENT
Refer to TM 55-1945-205-10-4, Operators Manual for Modular Causeway System (MCS) Floating Causeway. The
referenced manual will identify any connectors, wiring diagrams, or instructions to aide in the installation of such
equipment.
ASSEMBLY OF EQUIPMENT
Refer to TM 55-1945-205-10-4, Operators Manual for Modular Causeway System (MCS) Floating Causeway.
Instructions include preparing equipment for use that has been shipped disassembled. As applicable, power
requirements, connections, and initial control settings needed for installation purposes shall be included.
PRELIMINARY SERVICING OF EQUIPMENT
Refer to TM 55-1945-205-10-4, Operators Manual for Modular Causeway System (MCS) Floating Causeway for
information on preliminary servicing of equipment.
PRELIMINARY CALIBRATION OF EQUIPMENT
No calibration of equipment is required on the Floating Causeway.
