Position drain pan under thermostat housing (3).
WARNING

Unscrew temperature sending unit (2) from thermostat housing (3) and discard.
WARNING
4.
Remove sealing compound from thermostat housing (3) with a putty knife.
WARNING
5.
Remove drain pan and dispose of contents in accordance with local procedures.
