MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Section I. LUBRICATION
3-1. General Lubrication Information
a.
This section contains the lubrication chart and lubrication instructions which are supplemental to
and not specifically covered in the lubrication chart.
b.
The lubrication chart shown in figure 3-1 is the approved lubrication chart for the cradle.
3-2. Detailed Lubrication Information
a.
Care of Lubricants. Keep all lubricants, grease and oil, in closed containers and store in a clean,
dry place away from external heat. Allow no dirt, dust, water or other foreign material of any kind to mix with the
lubricants.
b.
Points of Lubrication. Refer to figure 3-1 for illustration of lubrication points.
c.
Cleaning. Keep all external parts not requiring lubrication clear of lubricants. Before lubricating
the equipment, wipe all lubrication points free of dirt and grease. Clean all the lubrication points after
lubricating to prevent accumulation of foreign matter.
