Refer to TM 5-5420-278-10 or TM 5-5420-234-14&P for information onthe Common Bridge Transporter (CBT) and the Bridge Adapter Pallet (BAP).SLINGING PROVISIONSIRB slinging provisions enable lifting of either the ramp or interior bay for both normal lift and externallift by helicopter. When lifting the bay, connect lifting sling to the quick-release pins markedLIFT/TIEDOWN, located on top of the bay’s outer pontons when in the folded position. When the BAP isused, lift the bay and the BAP by connecting the sling to the lifting eyes on the BAP. When the bay is tieddown with the BAP, the tiedowns are to be attached to the bay and not the BAP. The quick-release pinsare located in relationship to the bay’s center of gravity.
