BRIDGE MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES (Contd)
CROSSFORCE COUPLINGS, UPPER COUPLING LOCK PLUNGERS AND
LEVERS, AND LOWER COUPLING CONNECTORS AND RECEPTACLES
1. Using clean rags and solvent, clean crossforce coupling bumper (2), upper
coupling lock plunger (3), lever (4), and lower coupling connector (1) and
receptacle (5), remote control lever (6), and needle cam follower (7) on four
bridge quarters. Refer to items 7 and 1, WP 0052 00.
2. Using clean rags, wipe dry all items cleaned with solvent in step 1 above.
3. Coat four crossforce couplings bumpers (2), upper coupling lock plunger
shafts (3), levers (4), lower coupling connectors (1), receptacles (5), and roller
surface of remote control lever (6) with grease. Refer to items 4 and 5,
4. Notify field maintenance to grease bearing of four needle cam followers (7) at
grease fitting with grease. Refer to items 4 and 5, WP 0052 00.
