FUEL-WATER SEPARATOR OPERATIONAL TESTS (Sheet 8 of 11)
Sequential Drain Test (Sheet 1 of 4)
Using 5/16 inch wrench, remove pipe plug from upper sensor hole (A).

Check to see if fluid level is at top of upper sensor hole (A). If fluid level is at
top, go to step 8. If not go to step 4.
Using 5/16 inch wrench, install pipe plug in upper sensor hole (A).

CAUTION
Be very careful not to disturb center filter element. The
center filter element must be replaced if disturbed in
any way.
Using 7/16 inch socket, remove eight screws,

lockwashers, and washers (B) securing cover
to separator (D). Remove cover (C) from
separator (D).
Add fuel to fuel-water separator (D)

until fluid level is above upper sensor
hole (A).
6.
Using 5/16 inch wrench, install pipe plug
into upper sensor hole (A).
7.
Place cover (C) in position and, using 7/16
inch wrench, install eight screws, lockwasher
and washers (B).
