CLEANING AND INSPECTION:

Dry cleaning solvent P-D-680 is toxic and flammable.
protective goggles and gloves and use only in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin,
eyes, and clothes and don't breathe vapors. Do not use near open flame or excessive heat. The
flash point for Type #1 Dry Cleaning Solvent is 100F (38C) and for Type #2 is 138F (50C).
If you become dizzy while using cleaning solvent, get fresh air immediately and get medical aid.
If contact with eyes is made, wash your eyes with water and get medical aid immediately.

Clean all metallic parts in dry cleaning solvent.

Inspect all parts for damage or wear.
Replace all unserviceable parts.

INSTALLATION:
Install stud (A) and eight studs (B) in
1.
housing assembly (C).
2.
Using 15/16 inch wrench, install plug
(D) in housing assembly (C).
NOTE
If new transmission has been
installed, remove four nuts
nut (E) locations, and two
stud (F) locations.

Using 9/16 inch deep well socket, install
two studs (F). Using 9/16 inch socket
and torque wrench, tighten to 20-25 lb-ft

Using 3/4 inch socket, install four spacer
nuts (E). Using 3/4 inch socket and torque
wrench, tighten to 55-60 lb-ft (74-81
