Lock washers (12 required)
Self locking nuts (8 required)
Rags (Item 28, Appendix B)
PRELIMINARY PROCEDURE: Remove universal joint (TM 5-5420-228-24)
Quadrants removed
for clarity
REMOVAL:
Using 7/16 inch socket, remove eight
1.
self locking nuts (A) from inner ring
(B).
2.
Using 7/16 inch socket remove twelve
screws (C) and lockwashers (D) from
ring (E).
Remove rings (B) and (E) and gasket
3.
(F).
4.
Using putty knife, scrape off all gasket
and adhesive residue.
