PUMP DRIVE SHAFT UNIVERSAL JOINT REPLACEMENT AND REPAIR (Sheet 5 of 5)
INSTALLATION:
1.
Manually install driveshaft assembly (H), onto power take off shaft (K).
2.
Lift driveshaft assembly (H) onto yoke (D).
3.
Install two clamps (C) and two washers (B) two screws (A) tighten with inch wrench.
WARNING
Ensure drive shaft collar clamp is in place prior to operation. Failure to do so may
result in damage to equipment or personal injury or death.
4.
After driveshaft assembly (H) is installed, adjust collar clamp (F) to completely engage both ends of
collapsible shaft into pump and P.T.O. shafts (K,L). Collapse 1/8 inch, tighten screw (E) so that no
further collapsing of shaft is possible.
5.
Lubricate drive shaft (LO-12).
6.
Install universal joint cover (page 3-61).
