Failure tocomply may result in damage to equipment.NOTEDuring all transporter operations, the CBT operatorwill drive and be responsible for the operation of theLHS via the cab and remote control boxes. Theassistant will act as a ground guide, be responsible fordirecting the operator using hand signals, and assistthe operator as needed.a. Check hold-down lock (1) at both sides of BAP to ensure they are in AUTOENGAGED position; handles (2) should be in.WARNING The winch frame must be locked to the LHS hook armprior to unloading the bay to the ground. Failure tocomply may result in damage to equipment or injury topersonnel.NOTEWhen both levers are in the DOWN position, the winchframe is locked to the LHS hook arm. Perform steps dand e if levers are in the UP position.b. Remove quick-release pin (7) from stud (5) at both sides of winch frame (6).c. Swing lever (4) down so that end of stud (3) is through hole in lever (4), andinstall quick-release pin (7) on stud (3) at both sides of winch frame (6).1254376
