Place valve in boiling water. Let free end of wire hang over edge of container.
After about 30 seconds, use free end of wire to take valve out of water.

Using ruler, measure overall length of valve. Write down overall length of valve.

Compare length of valve before and after heating. If valve length increased less than
1/4 inch, throw valve away. Get new valve and repeat test. If new valve exceeds 1/4
inch after testing, it may be installed.
Compressed air used for cleaning purposes will not exceed 30 psi.
U s e only with effective chip guarding and personal protective
equipment goggles/shield, gloves, etc.

Using low-pressure compressed air, dry good valve.
INSTALLATION:
1.
Install new spacer ring (A) on valve (B).
2.
Using hands, install valve (B) to trans-
mission oil cooler.
Using adjustable wrench, tighten valve
3.
(B).
4.
Using 1-5/8 inch wrench, install and
tighten inside adapter (C).
5.
Using hands, install tube
fitting (D) on adapter (C).
6.
Go to other end of tube (E).
Go on to Sheet 6
