INNER EXHAUST PIPE REPLACEMENT (Sheet 2 of 2)
INSTALLATION:
Install insulation (A) over hose part
1.
of pipe (B).
Slide clamp (C) into position on pipe

(B).
Using hammer, lightly tap flange (D)

onto exhaust elbow end of pipe (B).
Using hammer and chisel, tap sleeve

(E), with tapered end of sleeve away
from flange (D), onto pipe (B).
NOTE
Sleeve (E) butts UP to flange (D) to
hold flange in place. It may be neces-
sary to use hammer and punch to aid
in mating the two flanges.
Position heater pipe (B) to exhaust elbow

(F) so flange (D) mates to flange on
elbow.
Slide coupling clamp (G) over mating
6.
flanges. Install nut (H) onto coupling
clamp (G). Using wrench. tighten nut
(H).
Using socket with extension, install screw (J) with lockwasher (K) securing clamp (C) to
hull.
Install personnel heater (page 18-5).
