INITIAL SETUP:
Tools Required
8 inch pliers or visegrips
Small diameter bar (1/8 - 3/16 in)
6 inch flat file
Materials Required
Thread locking compound (22, Appendix D)
Clean cloths
Lubricating oil (2, Appendix D)
Condition Description
Shoot bolt in component.
Component in upright position on raised, flat surface.
No obstruction under pin jaws.
NOTE
Two types of shoot bolt handle are used. One type has a 3/16 In (4.8 mm) hole through the
unthreaded end of the handle; the other type has not.
