HEU HOSE ASSEMBLIES "AC", "AD", AND OVERHEAD CYLINDER COUNTER
BALANCE VALVE "DA" REPLACEMENT (Sheet 3 of 3)
INSTALLATION:
1.
Place mounting bands (A) around cylinder "EA" (B) and install counter balance valve DA" (C) on cylinder "EA" (B).
Use socket and ratchet to install four mounting screws (D).
2.
Place new preformed packing (E) on elbow (F). Use adjustable wrench to install elbow (F) into cylinder "EA" (B).
3.
Place new preformed packing (E) on adapter (G). Use adjustable wrench to install adapter (G) into counter balance
valve "DA" (C).
4.
Use wrench to install hose assembly "AD" (H) between adapter (G) and elbow (F).
5.
Place new preformed packing (E) on elbow (J). Use adjustable wrench to install elbow (J) into cylinder "EA" (B).
6.
Place a new preformed packing (E) on adapter (K). Use adjustable wrench, install adapter (K) into counter balance
valve "DA" (C).
7.
Use wrench to install hose assembly "AC" (L) between adapter (K) and elbow (J).
8.
Install hose assembly "AA" and "AB" (page 3-204.4).
9.
Bleed hydraulic system (page 3-72).
10. Check for hydraulic leaks and correct as necessary.
11. Service hydraulic reservoir as needed (LO-12).
12. Install front fixed armor (page 3-134).
13. Install overhead cylinder armor (page 3-224).
