Interior bay is shown.REMOVAL 1.Remove bilge plug (5) and clasp (2) from ponton (7) (TM 5-5420-278-10).2.Remove clamp (3) and cable (4) from bilge plug (5).3.Remove clamp (3) and cable (4) from clasp (2).4.Remove gasket (6) from bilge plug (5). Discard gasket (6).CAUTIONDo not overheat area around insert or damage to aluminum mayoccur.NOTEHeat ponton inserts to loosen sealing compound before removinginsert.5.Remove insert (1) from ponton (7), using a large extractor or steel plate.INSTALLATIONNOTEApply sealing compound to threads of insert.1.Using a bilge plug (5) installed in insert (1), install insert (1) on ponton (7).
