TM 55-1945-205-24-20265 00 20265 002.Using pin wrench (3), remove seal gland (4) from steering cylinder (5) by turning counterclockwise.3.Discard seal gland (4).CLEAN RHIB STEERING CYLINDERWARNING1.Using wiping rags soaked with cleaner, remove debris from cylinder.WARNING2.Using wiping rags soaked with cleaner, remove debris from piston and cylinder threads.WARNING3.Dispose of contaminated rags in accordance with local procedures.INSPECT RHIB STEERING CYLINDER1.Inspect piston and cylinder for stripped thread. If found, replace cylinder.2.Inspect steering cylinder body for corrosion or damage. If found, replace cylinder.ASSEMBLE RHIB STEERING CYLINDER1.Position new seal gland (4) on piston rod (2).2.Tighten seal gland (4) into steering cylinder (5) with pin wrench (3) by turning clockwise.3.Remove the seal gland assembly guide tool (1) from end of piston rod (2) by turning counterclockwise.END OF WORK PACKAGE
