TURBOSUPERCHARGER OIL DRAINTUBE (LEFT BANK) REPLACEMENT (Sheet 1 of 3)
TOOLS: l/2 in. socket with 1/2 in. drive
Flat-tip screwdriver
Ratchet with l/2 in. drive
5/16 in. combination box and open end wrench
SPECIAL TOOLS: Ground hop kit (Item 30, Chapter 3, Section 1)
SUPPLIES:
Gasket 8761087

PRELIMINARY PROCEDURES:
Remove powerplant (page 5-2)
Drain engine oil (page 6-12)
REMOVAL:
1.
Using 1/2 inch socket, remove
two bolts (A) and two washers (B).
2.
Remove gasket (C).
Throw gasket (C) away.
3.
NOTE
If clamps (D) cannot be loosened using
screwdriver, use 5/1 6 inch wrench.
4.
Using screwdriver, loosen s i x c l a m p s (D) on hose (E).
Remove tube assembly oil drain from engine.
5.
Remove six clamps (D) and three hoses (E)
6.
f r o m tubes (F).
INSPECTION:
1.
I n s p e c t bolts (A) for stripped threads.
2.
I n s p e c t hoses and hose clamps for general serviceability.
3.
Replace defective parts as required.
