FUEL-WATER SEPARATOR CONTROL ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT (Sheet 5 of 5)
Using 9/16 inch wrench, install lower
(shorter) sensor (J) to fuel-water separator
filter.
Using 9/16 inch wrench, install upper
(longer) sensor (K) to fuel-water separator
filter.
Using 1/2 inch socket and extension,
and flat washers (L) and clamp (M).
Using 1/2 inch socket, tighten capscrew (N).
TEST:

Set FUEL PUMPS switch in ON position
(TM 5-542O-226-1 O).

Set MASTER BATTERY switch to ON
fuel-water separator bleed cap (A)
for air release (bubbles).
4.
Set MASTER BATTERY switch to OFF
about 1 minute, repeat step 3.
5.
Check for leaks and tighten or replace components as necessary.
6.
Using 7/16 inch wrench, turn fuel-water separator bleed cap (A) to the right until snug.
